A Very Disney Christmas: Hollywood Studios Edition

Image may contain: 1 person, crowd and outdoorOur fourth day ended up being a bit of a surprise; we had considered opting out of Hollywood Studios, but we ended up changing our minds that morning and going. I am so glad that we did. Aside from all the Star Wars things, the Christmas decorations were my favorite out of all the parks.  Because of the old time Hollywood theme, the decorations were all very vintage looking.  They even decorated the giant dinosaur and her little lagoon.

While, I did miss The Great Movie Ride, we still found plenty to do. We saw the Beauty and the Beast stage show, the Star Wars show and the Indiana Jones stunt show.  We also saw Fantasmic, which I highly recommend to anyone who loves fireworks and classic Disney movies.  We rode Toy Story Midway Mania and Star Tours before enjoying the new Christmas projection show on the Tower of Terror. It was beautiful, especially when it began to snow.  I also was able to pin trade for the first time, making it a memorable visit.

What to Watch After Stranger Things

         Anyone who’s watched the Netflix original series StrangerThings will find themselves nostalgic for the 1980’s, cassette tapes, arcades, big hair, and the now classic movies that influenced every kid who saw them.           Most of us 80’s and even early 90’s kids longed to find pirate gold, fly our bikes over town, and save the town from evil, yet hilarious witches. Stranger Things brought back all of those childhood adventures and the feeling that while being a kid was hard, it was also amazing, adventurous, and inspiring. The Grand Arrival

  After a year of waiting the gates Mount Hope have swung open for another span of faire days upon the shire. This time  however, we welcomed a new pair of monarchs, King Henry the VIII and Catherine of Aragon.  It was exciting, yelling out "Long Live the King" for the first time, since there's never been a king there as long as I've been attending. As with any new cast the first weekend is a bit stiff, but I'm looking forward to seeing them completely at one with their roles. Also, there's so much to see even without attending the shows, the glittering jewelry shops,  colorful glass ornaments, wooden and steal swords, leather goods and that's just the sights. The shire smells of roasted turkey legs,  incense, handmade soap, apple wine, funnel cakes wrapped around sticks which are so delectable that it negates the anachronism of deep frying in Tudor Times.   The best part of it all was being there with friends and making new ones.
