Sleepover

Sleepover are usually associated with childhood, panting nails, watching Disney movies, eating popcorn and pizza. It's a rite of passage really, learning how to socialize with your peers, learning how to be away from home, and realizing who your real friends truly are. This week I was invited to a sleepover. One of my best friends since the second grade wanted to have a Lord of the Rings marathon and the best way to accomplish that was to stretch the movies over two days, particularly  since we watched the extended editions. It was  wonderful, watching the movies we love, comparing and contrasting them to the books, eating turkey burgers and chocolate chip cookies, and drinking coffee. Turns out sleepovers are not just for kids after all.
