Parchment Paths

I finally found something to cover up the marker stains on the cake stand I made!            I discovered these tiny glass beads at AC Moore                         Now I just need to figure out how I'd like to sell it. I've contacted a local business owner so, we'll see what happens. 

This Sunday I had the pleasure of going to one of my favorite places, The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire! The theme for the weekend was new one, Time Travelers and I was excited to see what kind of costumes would turn up. There were several Dr. Whos, whole groups of Jedi Knights and some Steampunkers! I was particularly excited about the last groups because I haven't gotten the chance to see much Steampunk aside from the web.  Despite this, I chose to forgo my usual fair garb and made an attempt at a Steampunk like outfit.  blouse and skirt from Goodwill, hat and necklace from Hot Topic   Though of course there were several "old hats" at Steampunk culture there, such as this very nice lady, who was nice enough to call my outfit pretty.  It made me smile, I must admit.  I also admired this Steampunk time machine, set to the year of the Renaissance Faire   Of course, there was plenty of Renaissance enjoyments as well, the joust, the turkey legs,

The Rakish Rogues While I have not gone yet, the whole two days the faire's been open, I am already itching to get back to the Pennsylvania Renaissance  Faire in Manheim. I adore this place and have been regaled by my friend's exploits this opening weekend. She has wonderful things to say about the new cast, though she was saddened to tell me that the Dark Knight Espresso Bar no longer serves iced drinks. No iced drinks, in August? I am not happy.... but am still so very anxious to make my first visit of the season! In the meantime, here's some photos of last year's visits. Incense at Well Kat Herbs God save the Queen!
